eCommerce, short for “electronic commerce,” is all about transacting commercially online. An eCommerce website is the most common and recognizable form of this transaction – sort of like a virtual shop window where potential customers can see and purchase the products or services being offered by a company, entity, individual, or business. Some popular forms of eCommerce include shopping and retail for tangible goods (including dropship and wholesale methods), personal services, shopping for digital products, and even crowdfunding.
eCommerce began as soon as the Internet started going public roughly in the early 90s. This was when people discovered the convenience of buying stuff off shopping platforms like Amazon or making online banking and bills payment as opposed to going out and lining up for hours. Today, eCommerce sites have become a ubiquitous part of the daily tapestry of online activities, with more people preferring to do online transactions over real-life ones.
This website needs to be shutdown ASAP. The item I ordered never made it and I just received some generic email about "high demand" and they won't be able to send my order. I was told I'd receive a refund but received NOTHING. I'm not sure if people just give up during the refund process but they never ended up refunding me and I had to dispute through Paypal. Madness!
